dave_bioDave Rose is the president and founder of  Deep South Entertainment, an artist and business management firm, concert production company, and live music venue.  Rose has been guiding and developing the careers of multi-platinum artists for more than 20 years. After receiving his degree in Economics from North Carolina State University, he started in the music business as a musician, playing bass in several touring and recording acts. Rose is the author of Everything I know about the music business I learned from my Cousin Rick,which appeared on several Amazon charts and was met with critical acclaim, including a review in Guitar World stating it is “one of the best books a musician can read.”

Founded in 1995 as Deep South Records, the company quickly gained industry attention for their release of the #1 hit “Sex and Candy” by Marcy Playground.  Soon afterward the company expanded with their artist management and concert production divisions. Rose also owns and operates a music venue in Raleigh, N.C called Deep South The Bar.

An industry veteran, Rose has managed or business managed such Grammy-winning and Billboard-charting greats as Bruce Hornsby, Little Feat, Stryper, Vienna Teng, Parmalee, Marcy Playground, Jason Michael Carroll, Allison Moorer, LANco, Tres Chicas, Kasey Tyndall, SR-71, Lee Roy Parnell, and The Warren Brothers.

Deep South is based in Raleigh NC and Nashville TN.
